Cessna 150E G-ASYP History Logbook 4

History

G-ASYP on the ground at Henlow

The C or A was renewed on the 15/05/1971.

On the 10th of October 1975, the avionics were changed, the Narco Nav/Comm/ILS replaced by a single Narco Comm 11AH. 'YP lost it's VOR and ILS.

It seems that the aircraft was purchased by it's new owners (Laarbruch Flying Club) around the June of 1976,  'YP had joined up. RAF Laarbruch was part of RAFG (Royal Air Force Germany) and the base had a flying club for much of its time. Probably prior to delivery, the Narco 11AH was removed and replaced by an ARC 528E Nav/Comm unit at Westair Flying Services of Blackpool airport.

The engine was removed on or after 27/11/1976 and was sent away for a leisurely overhaul. It seems that 'YP had retired from the hustle and bustle of Flying School life and become a Flying Club aircraft. The engine was reinstalled nearly four months later on the 12 of March 1977. Less than a month later it was back in bits again for it's C of A renewal at Spooner Aviation at Shoreham Airport in Essex.

The logbook was closed early at 8421 hours 25 minutes when a 1977 style log book was raised.
