On this page I present a few short stories and anecdotes.

Whilst taking off one day at RAF Laarbruch on an instructional flight, 'YP refused to climb, reportedly due to being "heavy". That is at, but not above the maximum take off weight. Faced with the trees at the end of the runway, the instructor took control and flew down the taxiway, which was itself tree lined until enough height had been gained to fly out of the airfield!
